Fencing FAQ

Wood fencing offers the most economical solution to fencing applications and provides the warmth and feel of real wood that many people are drawn to. However it must be maintained on a regular basis with cleaning and re-application of stain every few years.

Composite Fencing offers superior durability and performance over wood, and comes in a variety of manufactured colors. However the tradeoff is a significant cost premium over wood alternatives.

Vinyl Fencing can offer the similar durability as composite products with minimal maintenance other than occasional cleaning. It typically comes in only white, however, which can be a drawback depending on your design aesthetics. It generally falls between wood and composite in terms of cost per project.

Metal Panels – a newer trend in construction and remodeling is to use galvanized corrugated metal panels in conjunction with a wood frame to create a more modern fence look. The galvanized panels offer superior durability and weather-resistance and provide a unique look to stand out from the neighbors.
